You can also use the Report button on any tool page for a faster initial report.
Our response timeline
- Within 48 hours: we acknowledge receipt of your notice and begin review.
- Within 72 hours: if the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the infringing content.
- We notify the content creator that their submission has been removed due to a takedown notice.
Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 USC 512(g). Your counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed content and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in your district.
If the original complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days of receiving the counter-notice, we may restore the content.
Repeat infringer policy
Users who receive 3 or more valid takedown notices will have their account terminated. We keep a record of all takedown notices and counter-notices for the lifetime of the platform.
Good faith
Filing a false DMCA notice is punishable under 17 USC 512(f). Before filing, make sure you are the copyright owner or authorised agent, and that the use does not qualify as fair use.
